1 star for atmosphere because I went to drive up . There's no seating inside . Anything they have is delish ! Service ppl outside are always friendly ! One of the best beefs around ! You can't go wrong with their large assortment of foods on the menu . Go and enjoy !

I don’t normally write reviews, but I just had to give a huge shoutout to Portillo’s and, more importantly, one of their amazing employees, Xavier. I went through the drive thru with my sisters while it was freezing and raining outside, and despite the gloomy weather, Xavier was all smiles and full of energy. His enthusiasm was honestly contagious—he took our order with such a positive attitude, and you could just tell he genuinely enjoys his job. It’s rare to find people who bring that kind of energy to customer service, and it really made our experience so much better. Huge thanks to Xavier for making a simple visit to Portillo’s such a great one!

This is our first time ordering from Portillo’s in Joliet! We ordered online and the estimated pickup time was 6:12, we got our food exactly at 6:12! The employees were extremely nice. The food was delicious! I got a beef n cheese croissant, fries, and onion rings. The fries were a little too salty other than that delicious!

I went here today to get one thing and that is my favorite item at Portillo's (when it's offered) and that is the infamous Lemon Cake Shake. It was pouring down rain and warm and humid outside. With that being said, the wonderful young lady taking the orders was friendly, cheerful and a delightful person to deal with even though she seemed soaked to the bone. I honestly can say I doubt I would've been so chipper had I been the one outside getting drenched. She was smiling and even apologized for the very short wait before she took my order. It was a very very pleasant experience and she deserves praise for sure. It was around 4:00 pm and if I'm reading the receipt right, her name is Katelyn. As for the atmosphere rating, I gave a 2 simply due to the fact that there was a stock car to look at. Otherwise it would've been a one star rating I mean come on... It's a drive thru and there really is no atmosphere about it. The shake was awesome and also the other young lady whose name I did not get that was handing the orders out was all smiles and very friendly too. This is my first time going to this Portillo's but it won't be my last. Two Thumbs up...

My bf & I ordered a lot of food today at Portillo’s - Bacon burger, Fries, Chicken tenders, Italian beef, hot dog & a chocolate cake slice w/ a Vanilla Shake & Root Beer. The cashier guy and window lady were super friendly and helped us with our order quickly. I would definitely go back and visit again! :))

Kid taking orders in the drive thru around 5:20ish was an absolute delight — give him a raise! It’s so nice to have great customer service and a happy face. It’s a rarity these days and he was out there in the cold, turning around folks days! Wish I had gotten a name!
